Cameron Beats Peter King/Sports Illustrated again
Going into week 8 of the NFL I was trailing Peter King of Sports Illustrated by 2. But on Sunday I predicted all the winners except 1 game ( Jacksonville beat Tampa Bay by 1 point ) Peter King missed 3 including Monday night's game, so I'm now back in the lead at +1
From Cameron's Dad: Yo Pete, half-way through the regular season and you're getting beat by a 9 year old!

Cameron Picked World Series Winner on Sept 5th
OK, so I predicted the Red Sox would beat the Mets instead of the Rockies in the World Series.
C'mon, who predicted the Rockies would even make it into the playoffs? (which they did by winning 21 of their final 22 games)
Who predicted the Mets would have the biggest September collapse in MLB history?
But I did predict the World Series winner long before the playoffs even began. Take THAT Sports Illustrated!

Interview with Dan Alexander Part 3
Here is a picture of me and Dan after the game he broke the record for most rushing touchdowns in a game.
7. Your son Braxton was totally healthy when he was born, but he’s a miracle child. Can you briefly explain?
Braxton was very much a blessing from God. Amy and I had been told it would be very difficult for us to have kids, maybe even impossible. But we decided to try anyway and after a short time of frustration we decided to put it in Gods hands and then started looking into adoption. But just before we sent off our first application we found out that Amy was pregnant. We are glad God has blessed us with Braxton, while still leaving our hearts open to adopting another child in the future. Also Braxton was 3 weeks pre-mature because of complications but has been completely healthy and happy so far, Praise the Lord!
8. As a college player at Nebraska you were a 4-time Academic All-Big 12, and the only Husker ever to be named to all four Brook Berringer Citizenship Teams. What is the Brook Berringer Citizenship Team?
The Brook Berringer citizenship team is an award given in the honor of a UN Husker Quarterback who was very active in the community in and around Nebraska. He tragically died in an airplane crash. It was a great honor to me to have my name associated with such a great man as Brook Berringer. In this day and age with so many negative things being publicized about athletes there should be more emphasis put on the positive things athletes do off the field, and in the community.
9. What current or retired athlete ( in any sport ) do you most respect because of both their talent & achievements, their character, and their contributions and influence off the field?
There are a ton of great men out there in pro sports. I have heard about many great people throughout history but i would like to lift up the players I have met in the NFL who I have known personally and can vouch for. Once I get to know another man, I ask myself one question about them. "would I want this guy to date one of my sisters and/or my daughter? (If I had a daughter)". The Men in the NFL or AFL I have said "Yes" to are.
When I was with the Titans 2001-2002: Chris Sanders, Derrick Mason, Kevin Dyson, Kevin Carter, Michael Booker, Erron Kinney, Joe Salave'a, John Simon
When I was with the Jaguars 2002-2003: Mark Brunell, Kyle Brady, Maurice Williams, Donovan Darius, Joe Tuipala
When I was with the Rams 2003: Kurt Warner
With the Kats 2005-present: Ryan Roth, Cornelius Bonner, Keon Raymond, Anthony Herron, Ahmad Hawkins, Frank Carter
The longer I was with a team the more guys I was able to get to know well, so if someone is not on this list from those teams during the years I was there that doesn't mean I don't respect them , it just might mean I did not get to know them well. There are many other great men of God in pro sports but these all have been tremendous community servants, good husbands, good fathers, and good football players. I respect them because of the their hearts and minds not necessarily because of their athletic ability. These are the guys i want everyone to root for.

Interview with Dan Alexander Part 2
This is the 2nd part of my interview with Dan Alexander, the star fullback for the Nashville Kats of the Arena Football League.
4. I was at the game in Nashville when you set the AFL record for most rushing touchdowns in a game with six. We were sitting near your wife Amy during the game. You always looked her way after you scored a touchdown. What does having her at a home game mean to you compared to when you’re playing an away game?
It definitely means a lot to me for my wife to come to the games. Fans, coaches, and teammates can all be fickle but I know when I look up to my wife I will get encouragement and support.
I definitely feel more comfortable in front of a crowd when I know at least one person up there loves me no matter how well I play.
5. You made the All-Arena League First Team this year. What’s the best part of that honor?
The best part of the honor was being recognized by the league for all of my hard work. It is also one more story I can tell my son when he is growing up.
6. Your son Braxton was born this year during the season. How do you think being a Dad has changed you or changed your life?
I have become a little less selfish. Now I have someone I love who is completely dependent on me. It is a wonderfully rewarding experience that inspires and challenges me on a daily basis, to be better. Better father, better provider, better Christian, better husband, etc... It even makes me want to get in better shape so I can be there for his every need.

Dan "The Man" Alexander Interview part 1
Dan Alexander is the starting fullback (and my favorite player ) for the Nashville Kats of the Arena Football League. This is my interview with Dan. Click on the Kats link below to see Dan's player profile.
http://katsonline.com/team/players/name.php?PRKey=22
Questions for Dan Alexander: 14 for #38
1. What were your personal goals heading into this past season?
My personal goals for the season were to be the starting fullback, to play in every game, to get a sack, and to average over 3yds per carry. I did not get to reach all of these goals but that means I need to work even harder this offseason.
2. You destroyed the previous AFL record of 26 rushing touchdowns in a season with 41 rushing touchdowns. At the beginning of the season did you have any thought of breaking the record?
I had no idea that I would be given so many opportunities by my coaches to score so many rushing touchdowns in a league that is dominated by passing.
3. Of the 41 touchdowns, besides #27 when you broke the record, do you have a favorite or most memorable touchdown?
Looking back, touchdown #27 was actually the most memorable because I hadn't been keeping track of how many touchdowns I had so I didn't even know I had broken the record until Rupert Grant (Doghead) came onto the field and told me to keep the ball. I asked him why and he said "because you just broke the record!!"
Check back later for more Q & A with Dan Alexander.

Dan the Man
Saturday night me and my Dad were given tickets to the Arena Football League game by Nashville Kats star running back Dan Alexander. We sat next to his wife, Amy and watched Dan have a record breaking game. He scored a record 6 rushing touchdowns against the Kansas City Brigade. Dan also has 24 rushing touchdowns this season. He is just 2 touchdowns shy of the AFL record of 26. The Kats have 8 games left in the season. I think Dan just has to stay healthy to break the record easily. Dan Alexander is having his best season yet in his career. The Kats went on to win 49-40. So much scoring in a close game is fun.
After the game about 5 interviewers were all asking Dan about his game. At the game I got a Dan Alexander #38 Kats jersey. After the game we went down to the field to get autographs. My Dad took a picture with me and Dan. Then Dan autographed my jersey. I didn't have to think about what I wanted to wear to school on Monday. I'll let everyone know when Dan breaks the AFL record. I bet it will be next game.

3. Dwight Freeney will be a defensive force and a problem for Bears offense.

5. Colts will rattle Rex Grossman.

Exclusive Interview with Cameron re: Vince Young
This past week Vince Young was voted the clear winner as NFL's Offensive Rookie of Year. However, Cameron heard ESPN analyst Merrill Hodge criticize the voters' choice. Hodge punted Young to 4th place on his list, proclaiming Saints' Reggie Bush the league's premier rookie. We asked Cameron for his thoughts.
Cameron, what contribution did Vince Young make to the Titans that propelled to him to Rookie of the Year honors?
Vince Young went 8-5 as a starter in his rookie season. He took over a weak 0-5 Titans team
and got them 1 win away from making the playoffs. He had a couple of 30+ yard runs for touchdowns. He also outdueled Peyton & Eli Manning when the Titans came from behind to win both games.
Who received your vote for NFL Offense Rookie of the Year?
Reggie Bush because last year the Saints were 3-13. Now the Saints have a 1st-round bye in the playoffs. They have the second best record in the NFC. And don't forget--they are still overcoming Hurrican Katrina. Reggie Bush can line up as a running back, wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner. He has given a huge boost to the Saints. Bush will develop into an All-Pro player in just a few more years.
What do you think of Hodge ranking Vince Young 4th on his ballot?
Crazy. Vince is 2nd on my list. 4th?---No way.
