Picking Cameron's Knows: College Football Week 1

My Picks for 22 Winners this week

1. Auburn ( Senior QB Brandon Cox is returning )
2. Arkansas (McFadden is top running back in the country)
3. Texas ( sophomore QB Colt McCoy will be even better )
4. MTSU ( good defense )
5. Oregon ( Oregon State is actually ranked higher this year but this game is not against State)
6. Oklahoma State ( not the way Georgia wants to start the year )
7. Memphis ( this was a surprise team last year )
8. Va Tech ( emotional game--first game back since campus shootings)
9. NC State ( start season with new coach )
10. BYU ( experience will carry this one )
11. Vandy ( can't take Richmond lightly )
12. South Carolina ( starting QB is suspended for this game but will still win )
13. Miami ( the team I wish would lose every game. )
14. UCLA ( never sure which UCLA team is going to show up )
15. Michigan State ( good wide receiver tandem )
16. Kentucky ( has a good quarterback )
17. California ( playing at home gives edge over TN. Ainge has injured hand.)
18. Florida ( starts defense of national title against a weakling )
19. Missouri ( offense can put points on the board)
20. Boston College ( I wish that Wake Forest would win, but they won't)
21. Florida State (Bowden Bowl #8 FSU snatched up LSU's offensive coordinator )
22. Georgia Tech ( GT lost Calvin Johnson but still stronger than Notre Dame who lost Brady Quinn and favorite receiver plus other key seniors )

Cameron,

You made some good picks this week! If I find a little extra money around here, I may call you and head to Vegas.

Auburn looked terrible last night and were lucky to win - their young offensive line didn't open up any holes for runners and the pass protection wasn't much better. Unless they significantly improve, they are going to be a very average team this year.

It will be interesting to see FSU and Clemson Monday night - I actually think FSU has a chance given the coaching shake-up and the fact that Clemson has a new qb.

Notre Dame's offense looked terrible yesterday - they have a tough schedule coming up and will probably lose many of them.

Are you going to start following Appalachian State? That was unbelievable, wasn't it? I loved it.

Keep up all the good work! Arnie

Any comments on the U.S. Open?
