Bumpy Road to the Finals

Well, like everybody else my bracket was busted by plenty of upsets. The newspaper today said that only 2 people out of 3.2 million players in the ESPN bracket contest picked the Sweet 16 teams correctly. So, I don't feel so bad.

Here's my predictions of how the rest of March Madness will play out:

SWEET 16
EAST
UNC easily defeats Washington State
Louisville beats Tennessee in a close game
Kansas runs all over Villanova
Davidson with Curry upsets Wisconsin

WEST
Memphis is too strong for Michigan State
Texas in a close one over Stanford
UCLA runs up the score on Western Kentucky
Xavier slips past West Virginia

ELITE EIGHT
EAST
UNC wins a close one over Louisville
Kansas shows Davidson who is boss

WEST
Texas takes down Memphis
UCLA hammers Xavier

FINAL FOUR
Kansas sends UNC home (I wish UNC would win it all but it won't happen)
UCLA knocks out Texas

CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
KANSAS defeats UCLA in a great match-up. This will be a great game!

Sports Illustrated predicts that the Sweet 16 winners will be:
EAST: UNC, Louisville, Kansas, Wisconsin
WEST: Memphis, Texas, UCLA, Xavier

Elite Eight
Then they think that Louisville will beat UNC and Kansas will beat Wisconsin
In the West they predict that Texas will stop Memphis and UCLA will beat Xavier

Final Four
SI says that Kansas will beat Louisville and UCLA defeats Texas

Championship
SI predicts the UCLA Bruins will beat the Kansas Jayhawks

Last Snapshot from NFL Combine Night

This is me with my buddy, Marcus Monk, 6'-6" WR from the University of Arkansas. I don't know how defensive backs are supposed to cover these tall wide receivers. Marcus has pass catching in his blood. His uncle, Art Monk, was an All-Pro wide receiver with the Washington Redskins. Marcus said that his all-time favorite receiver and idol was Jerry Rice.
For $10 we won't repeat that to Uncle Art.

More NFL Combine Night

This is Frank Okam, 6'-5", 320 lb Defensive Tackle from the University of Texas. He's not only big ( I was hoping he wouldn't trip and fall on me.) but smart too. He was a 2007 first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection and was on UT's Athletic Honor Roll all 4 years. Frank told me that his favorite player when he was growing up was Reggie White because of the kind of player and Christian he was.

When I asked Frank which NFL quarterback would he most like to sack, he said without hesistating, "Vince Young." When I asked why Vince, he said that when Vince was still QB at Texas the defense wasn't allowed to tackle him during drills or scrimmages.

Turn your computer sideways!

This is me and Brad Cottam, a 6'-8" Tight End from Univ. of TN. Yea, he's a little taller than me but I think I could take him in hoops. Brad averaged 25 yards per catch in his senior season with the Vols.

This is Steve Justice, 6'-4" 285 lb first-team All-American center, from Wake Forest University. Wake Forest has had great back-to-back seasons, beating Florida State twice, and giving solid performances in bowl games. This year they upset U Conn in their bowl game.
Steve is one of the top rated centers in the draft. My Dad went to Wake Forest and he said that when he was a student there he had bigger muscles than Steve does. Yea, right.
