It's called the Battle of the Boulevard and it was a war right down to the last minute.
Thank you to Brent High for giving us the tickets and great seats. The arena was packed and rowdy for this rivalry between Nashville college neighbors, Belmont and Lipscomb. Underdog Lipscomb used the home court to their advantage and pulled off the upset 73-68.
It was a very physical game with losts of scrambles for loose balls, bodies on the floor, and fouls. Lipscomb's power man Adnan Hodzic dominated the inside with rebounds and points. But Belmont still would have won if their big man Jon House had made his many close shots and lay-ups. How can you miss that many times from that close to the rim? When the buzzer sounded the Lipscomb students rushed the court and are probably still celebrating.

Cameron,
Thanks so much for the great blog report. I actually got a Google report on your story so the big boys are searching your blog too! :)
We appreciate your support at the game the other night. It was a great night in every way and I was glad you could be there with your dad. He is a good friend and encouragement to me.
Please come back soon. We host the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament March 4-7 at the arena. We have two really big regular season games at home before then (Monday the 16th vs. ETSU and Thursday the 26th vs. Jacksonville).
Hope to see you again real soon!
Blessings,
Brent
